Camp means Hope for underprivileged kids and teens

Summer for kids means no school and endless opportunities for fun, but not all children have these luxuries. Every year underprivileged kids attend YouthHope’s Camp Summit at no cost to them because of sponsorships from our generous donors and volunteers.

Our mission at YouthHope is to expose low income youth and troubled kids to different experiences through kids’ clubs, bible studies and social field trips within the Quad Cities community.  Camp Summit is an extension of YouthHope, a ministry that takes children out of their neighborhoods and provides an experience for them to have fun and learn about the love Christ has for them.

The children who utilize our programming are all impacted in different ways. Many of the youth that come through Camp Summit are impacted simply by having the luxury of three hearty meals a day and their own bed to sleep in during camp week. Others see the camaraderie, outdoor activities and worship as a time of impact.

Often a week-long trip to camp is the biggest outdoor experience and only vacation they will have. The kids and teens have the opportunity to experience outdoor life that includes activities like fishing, boating, zip-lining, gaga-ball, basketball, swimming and much more. For many kids this will be a chance for hope and a changed life at Camp Summit.

This summer our camp will host over 400 kids and teens that attend without cost to them. Your sponsorship has the power to change a child or teen’s life. A small financial gift can make a lasting change in the life of a child that can continue to impact them through the rest of their lives. The cost to sponsor one child for our in-town summer outreach is simply 50 dollars, while supporting a child for one week of summer camp is only 200 dollars. If you can’t donate financially, we are also looking for volunteers to help cook and serve meals to the youth during lunch and dinner.

Make a difference in a child’s life.
